Besides, the member states have become the leading nations among the contributors to development aid. Last but not least, in the field of trade, the Community, whose imports from the developing countries exceed its exports to them, has been the first trading area to introduce a scheme of generalized tariff pReferences in respect of semi-finished and manufactured exports of the developing countries.
